RMDC 8530.3 is a single-deck tug, with two propellers, intended for:
-assisting ships’ entry and exit to and from port basins,
-carrying out heavy towing and pushing operations,
-unaided fire fighting on board ships and on the shore using water and foam,
-rescue operations.
MAIN EQUIPMENT
-Towing winch with single drum with SWL 15 t and brake holding load SWL 99 t,
-Double towing bollard with a towing chock,
-Towing hook of 60 t SWL, fixed on towing bollard, with slewing angle of 180º.
