RMDC 8530 is a single deck tug with two azimuth stern drives (ASD) designed for all-year operation in non-arctic seas in middle ice conditions. The vessel is designed for:
- port assist for vessels including tankers,
- towing and escort services at sea in A2 area,
- external fire fighting with water/foam monitor,
- salvage operations.
MAIN EQUIPMENT
-Aft towing winch with SWL 50 t and 100 t braking capacity.
-Forward towing winch with SWL 15 t .
-Double towing bollard with towing hook with SWL 50 t.
This design was proved in construction of Centaur II vessel for port in Gdynia.
