RMDC 8533 is a single deck tug with two azimuth stern drives (ASD). The primary purpose of the tug will be to safely escort vessels calling at the Terminal during the main channel transit into its mooring basin, maneuver the vessel inside the basin and secure her alongside the berth. The tug is designed also for towing and fire fighting services. Forward main heavy duty escort-rated towing winch provides 100t pull and 270t braking capacity. Aft deck is also fitted with towing winch of 100t pull and 270t braking capacity.The vessel is designed in accordance with Rules of Lloyd’s Register (LR) to meet + 100 A1 Escort Tug, +LMC, UMS, IWS, Fire-Fighting Ship 1 class notation.
